Get to Know the ASI Audio App
Take Charge of Your Sound.
The ASI Audio mobile app puts you in the driver's seat of your in-ear audio journey. Offering a range of controls from microphone levels and EQ settings to sound limiting features, the app provides a comprehensive toolkit for audio customization. The Three-Dimensional Music Enhancement (3DME) feature elevates your experience by reintroducing authentic, directionally accurate stage sound and ambiance, enriching your interaction with both your bandmates and the acoustics of the venue.
Master Your Microphone Levels
The microphone level feature offers you the flexibility to either unify or separate the audio signals sent to each earbud. Opt for the 'joined' setting to control both earbuds simultaneously, or choose 'separate' to adjust the volume level for each ear independently.
Your Sound, Your Way: Mixed, Ambient, or Both
Easily integrate the 3DME In-Ear Monitor (IEM) system with your wireless setup using the provided jumper cable that connects our bodypack to yours. Once linked, you have multiple listening options at your disposal. You can opt for a traditional IEM audio feed from your chosen mix source, whether it's Onstage, Front of House, or a Monitor person. Alternatively, blend this feed with the system's built-in ambient microphones to capture the sounds of your bandmates, the audience, and the room's acoustics. For total autonomy, go fully ambient and use the ASI Audio app to have complete control over your in-ear mix, even without your wireless setup.
Protect Your Hearing with Adaptive Audio Limiting
Located on the right-hand side of the app's home screen, the Limiter function serves as a crucial safeguard for both your hearing health and performance quality. Engineered specifically for musical settings, the 3DME limiter features adaptive attack, average response, and frequency-selective operation. With a dynamic range spanning from 104 dB to 76 dB, this limiter is designed to adapt to your audio environment, ensuring that your listening experience remains within safe and comfortable levels.
Precision EQ Control at Your Disposal
The 3DME Equalizer empowers you with complete command over the active ambient microphones integrated into our In-Ear Monitors (IEMs). In 'joined' mode, you can adjust all seven EQ bands simultaneously for both left and right ear audio. Alternatively, 'separate' mode allows you to fine-tune the settings for each ear individually, giving you the flexibility to tailor your listening experience to your exact needs.
Step 1: Select Set Mode
Step 2: Go to the Main Page and select a high mic level setting.
Step 3: Return to the Options page and PRESS “Set + Button”.
Step 4: Go to the Main Page and select a low mic level setting.
Step 5: Return back to the Options page and PRESS “Set - Button”.
What is CROS?
The 3DME app uniquely provides a feature known as Contralateral Routing of Signals, or CROS. This specialized function is designed for musicians who experience unilateral hearing loss. When activated, CROS mode reroutes both ambient and monitor audio from the impaired ear to the functional ear's earpiece. This innovative feature essentially restores the "lost" half of the stage sounds for individuals with significant hearing loss in one ear. To enable CROS functionality, simply use the app to select either left-to-right or right-to-left audio routing, depending on your needs.
Monitor Processing Bypass
This function enables you to sidestep any built-in Limiting or EQ settings, allowing for exclusive external control of the audio signal. This is particularly useful when you prefer to manage the audio solely through an outboard system, such as Front of House or a Monitor Mix.
Startup Squeal Suppression Feature
Upon initial activation of the 3DME bodypack, the Startup Squeal Suppressor automatically minimizes potential feedback by setting the limiter to its lowest threshold (76 dB-SPL). To deactivate this safety feature and revert to your pre-set limiter settings, simply press either the '+' or '-' button located on the top of the bodypack.
Earpiece Options and Settings
The 3DME system comes standard with high-performance dual-driver earpieces. For those seeking an even more tailored experience, Custom Pro earpieces are available by special order in both dual and quad driver configurations. When using the bodypack with Custom Pro quad driver earpieces, make sure to set the switch to the 'Quad' position. For all other cases, keep the switch in the 'Dual' position. It's crucial to select the correct switch setting to match your earpieces, as an incorrect choice could lead to system gain miscalibration and potential compromise of the dynamic range.
